Tube or bundt pan; electric knife

Ingredients

  • 4 C. Unpeeled Apples (cut fine)
  • 2 C. Granulated Sugar
  • 3 c. Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 Tsp. Cloves
  • 1 c. Salad Oil
  • 1 C. Walnuts
  • 1 C. Raisins
  • 1 Tsp. Soda
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Allspice
  • Powdered sugar glaze

Instructions

  1. Core and chop apples, add sugar and let stand 15 minutes.

  2. Sift flour, salt, soda and spices together.

  3. Add oil and eggs, add apple mixture and mix well, fold in nuts and raisins.

  4. Pour into well greased tube or bundt pan.

  5. Bake 325° for 1 1/4 hours.

  6. Watch carefully last 15 minutes.

  7. Drizzle powdered sugar glaze over, when cool.

  8. Cuts best with electric knife.
