  • 5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (21 ounce) can fruit pie filling or 1 (21 ounce) can fresh fruit, if you prefer
  • 1/4 cup cold butter or 1/4 cup margarine, cut in chunks

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.

  2. Store in an airtight container.

  3. CAN BE STORED IN A COOL DRY PLACE FOR UP TO ONE YEAR.

  4. To make crisp: Place pie filling in 8 inch square pan.

  5. Cut butter into 1 cup of topping mix until crumbly.

  6. Sprinkle over fruit.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
