  1. Fill pie shell with sliced apples.

  2. Heat apple juice to boiling.

  3. Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into hot juice.

  4. Cook until thickened.

  5. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.

  6. Dot with butter.

  7. Pour juice over all and cover with upper crust.

  8. Prick crust.

  9. Bake in 450 for 10 minutes.

  10. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 35-45 minutes.
