Ingredients

  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 pound of pitted dates
  • 1/2 to 1 full cup of chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and milk.

  2. In a sauce pan, cook until the first stage of forming a soft ball.

  3. Add dates and cook another 5 minutes.

  4. Add nuts and mix/beat until it turns stiff.

  5. Transfer to parchment paper and roll, smoothing the shape as you go until you have the shape of a log.

  6. Chill until firm, at least 2-6 hours

  7. Slice into pieces with a very sharp knife.
