Ingredients
- 2 cups puffed and toasted rice (mamra, murmura, mumra, Indian puffed rice, or Rice Krispies)
- 1/2 cup grated jaggery or brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Cardamom, optional
- Lemon or lime juice, optional variation, omit cardamom if using

Instructions
Combine grated jaggery and water in a pan over medium heat.
Cook until the jaggery dissolves and forms a syrup.
Add cardamom if using, or lemon or lime juice for the variation.
Stir in the puffed rice until evenly coated with syrup.
Shape the mixture into small laddus or press into a greased pan to make bars.
Let cool until firm before serving.
