Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 medium carrots, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; add the carrots, water, sugar, salt and pepper.

  2. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or until carrots are tender.

  3. Stir in the cream, parsley and nutmeg. Bring just to a boil; remove from the heat.
