Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons onions, chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 dash garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup fat
  • 1 cup canned tomato

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except flour, fat and tomatoes.

  2. Make balls; roll in flour and brown in heavy pot.

  3. Add tomatoes; cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes.
