Marmitako – Basque Fish Stew

“This warming Basque fish stew receives its name from the saucepan that it is cooked in, a Marmita.” From notesfromspain.com Posted for ZWT 5.

Basque Potato Soup

This recipe originates from the Basque people of northeastern Spain and southwestern France. This is a very hearty soup, something I’d recommend for a cold winter day.

Basque Tuna & Potato Casserole

Marmitako is a traditional Basque dish, which I have yet to make myself. I’m told it’s delicious and seems very easy to make. I like the one pot idea! I’m unsure of the serving size, it seems like a lot to me for 4 people!

Basque Chorizo and Lentil Soup

I found this web on the net recently (I was on a Basque kick). I have not tried it out yet, but I am sucker for anything with lentils.
