Lamb Shank Soup

This is my mum’s recipe, which I made just recently. My son’s girlfriend wanted the recipe, so I figure this is the easiest way to give it to her! If you like hearty old-fashioned soup, this is a good stick-to-your-ribs one! Cook time includes making the stock, then next day, the soup, but not the sitting overnight!

Mushroom Kilpatrick on Barbecue Crostini

This is from our local paper and hope to make it when the weather warms up a tad. This was part of their “One for the Blokes” feature and the nutritionist gave it a big thumbs up. Times are estimated. Think this could be duplicated with an indoor grill and frypan/skillet for the hotplate.

Aussie Chicken

Found this recipe on the internet and wanted to post it for the ZWT5 I read that this is a popular chicken dish in Australia. Update 23/05/09 A few reviewers have stated that the amount of Seasoning Salt was overpowering in this dish. Original recipe calls for 2 teaspoons, I am cutting it down to 1 1/2 teaspoon. If the next person that makes the recipe, please let me know if this is still too overpowering. Thank You.

Seared Lemon Chicken

From an old recipe card that I came across during a clean up, looks good. Times are estimated but have included 30 minute marinating time in the cooking time.

Mushroom and Shredded Chicken Salad

A quick to prepare Asian-influenced salad which could be served as a main course or a side dish, from ‘tossed: 200 fast, fresh and fabulous salads’. If any of your mushrooms are particularly large, quarter them or chop them to an appropriate size. Ideal for making on a busy week-night with a takeaway – or take out – roasted chicken. BTW, 7 oz = 200g; 14 oz = 400g. The lime and soy dressing could be made in advance.
