This recipe for 7-11 Cherry Slurpee brings together 2 cups club soda, chilled, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon kool-aid cherry powdered drink mix in a practical dish for home cooking. It takes about 10 min to prepare and cook. It makes approximately 3 servings.

Basque Cream and Cherry Tart

From The New Spanish Table, posted for ZWT3. This has a lightly sweetened crumbly crust and a light and creamy filling. Amaretto works well in place of sambuca. Cooking time includes cooling time.

Kirschsosse (Cherry Sauce)

The wine-like flavor of cherry in a spicy sauce. Traditionally served with Dampfnudeln or Steamed Sweet Dumplings. Could go over any bread like dessert or cooled down as a jam. Recipe dates from the mid 1960’s and comes from my grandmother’s recipe box.

Cherry Ice Cream

As I cannot eat and drink milk products, I thought I try and make a soy ice cream and voilá! It tastes good and is refreshing!
