Caramel Chicken
embarassed to say I got this from the back of a soup packet, but it is very good. I usually just make a bacon roll and secure that with a toothpick and fry the rolls in a little olive oil til browned. Then take them out and do the chicken in the oil, remove the toothpick and add to the casserole, looks classy 🙂 have to admit that I am way to lazy to do the orange thing 🙂
Huey’s Green Bean, Potato and Bacon Salad
My adaptation of another of Huey’s fabulous recipes. His salads he always categorises as sexy salads. He recommends this dish as an entrée or light lunch for four. It could, of course, also be served as a side dish. Serve it warm or at room temperature, whichever you prefer. Huey (Iain Hewitson) is a larger than life Melbourne restaurateur and chef who also features on his own extremely popular TV show. I have posted several of his recipes on Zaar.
Aussie Style Burger With the Lot
A “hamburger with the lot” is an Aussie take on an American classic.The famed burger is served in pubs, fish & chip shops and restaurants around the country. It usually consists of a juicy beef patty in a bun served with with cheese, sliced tomato, sliced, canned beetroot, onions, lettuce, bacon and an egg. Some versions are served with a slice of pineapple for that extra flavor of summer. I found this on an Australian website. Enjoy!
Spicy Tomato & Bacon Soup
Original recipe that I thought tasted great, it is quite spicy so reduce or omit chilli flakes and/or pepper for a mild result. Can of course be scaled up easily.
