V’s Robert Redford Dessert

This is my version of the popular Robert Redford Dessert. The crust has a nice crunch while the pudding and whip cream just melt in your mouth. So Good.

Herbed Rissoles With Mushroom Sauce

Entered for ZWT 5 – round 1. In Portugal, rissoles are known as rissóis and are usually filled with cod, minced meat, shrimp or (less frequently) chicken or a combination of cheese and ham. The Australian rissole is generally made from minced meat without a pastry covering, but sometimes with breadcrumbs.Mostly cooked on a BBQ all year round. The New Zealand rissole is much the same as the Australian rissole but may contain diced yellow onion and cooked on a BBQ as a healthier option during summer

Curry Lamb Chops

This is from Taste of Home’s Cooking for 2. I have learned that when I find a recipe if it is not on Zaar and I don’t post it, I will misplace it. Such was the fate of this recipe. I have made some minor adjustrments. This is wonderful served over rice or couscous.

Sausage in Potato Gravy

This is a long time family favorite in my house and is one of our ‘comfort’ foods given to us by a true Cajun. I make this with fresh [raw] sausage from Burton Sausage Co in Burton, TX., you can only get it at the OLD butcher shop on Navasota Rd. Any raw sausage you like would be great in this but it needs to be raw meat for the best results. Always a ‘go to ‘ when pressed for time or don’t feel like cooking! I have never really measured the items in this recipe- When asked how much? I always say ‘enough’. After many requests I decided to try to get it down on paper! So here goes!

Cinnamon Picnic Cake

A perfect cake for picnics, this cuts well and may also be served warm with whipped cream. An Australian recipe posted for Zaar World Tour 2005
