Caldo De Peixe De Cabo Verde Cape Verdean Fish Soup

There are a few solid Caldo de Peixe recipes online, but most call only for salt and pepper or are very vague regarding the spice profile used in the Islands of Cabo Verde. I am from Cabo Verde, and would like to add my own twist to this recipe that (hopefully) will give an authentic taste to this beloved traditional recipe. I hope that you enjoy this taste of my childhood.

Keely’s Pumpkin and Sweet Potato Sago Parfait

Caramelized Pork and Eggs (Sach Chrouk Kho Nung Poang Moan)

Caramelized slow cooked pork with hard boiled eggs. Boiled eggs are surprisingly good stirred into savory sauces, as the whites absorb much of the flavor and add an interesting texture to the meal. This meal is traditionally enjoyed for the holidays. from khmerkromrecipes.com for ZWT9

Somlor Machoo Yune (Khmer Cambodian Hot & Sour Soup)

This two stage recipe is easy to prepare. The recipe looks difficult but is actually not that hard. I’ve been told that this soup is very common in Cambodia and just about everyone has their own way to preparing it. Can be served with jasmine rice on the side for adding to the soup.

Cambodian Lemongrass Chicken Curry

A gentle curry with strong lemongrass flavor. Goes great over white or brown rice. Don’t be frightened off by the cook time, it mostly takes care of itself and needs little attention once you combine the ingredients. Got the recipe from Savory Spice Shop in Santa Rosa, CA
