Speckfladen

We once had Flammekuchen for lunch in Rothenburg op den Tauber in Germany. It was so deliious! I found this recipe online on a site named My Best German Recipes and I altered to fit our taste and the ingredients I had on hand. It turned out so well I decided to post it for future reference – to make again.

Janosch Birthday Cookies

Janosch is the famous author of the stories about the little Tiger and the little Bear. I got cookie cutters in the shape of the tiger, the bear, the rabbit with the fast shoes, the wide-mouth frog and the tigerduck from my mother, a present for St. Niklaas. This is the first recipe of two, the other is Recipe #271116

Filet Mit Äpfeln (Austria)

This recipe is from week 17 of my food blog, Travel by Stove. I am attempting to cook one meal from every nation on Earth, and Austria is my 17th stop. Filet mit Äpfeln is a simple beef tenderloin served over pan fried apples and a potato cake, topped with mushrooms.
