Pepsi Pork Roast
This recipe sounds strange and tastes wonderful. We have experimented with other brands of soda, but none worked as well. You can also cook potatoes and carrots with the roast for a complete meal.

I like this recipe because it’s simple and uses ingredients I always have on hand. I got it from my dad, I can’t say for sure where it originally came from, but maybe from a Betty Crocker cookbook. This dough also works well for making meat pies.

This is DH’s recipe. It is simple comfort food and is very versatile. You can use chicken quarters in place of chops or chicken broth in place of water. Feel free to experiment with different herbs. We never make this the same way twice. A side note: I would recommend using a bone in, fattier cut of pork and not loin chops in this recipe.
This is how I sauté mushrooms and onions to serve with grilled steak. I’ve been doing it this way for years and never really thought of it as a recipe until today when my husband mentioned that it was the best he’d ever had. If you have leftovers, make an omelet with them with smoked swiss cheese and serve with hot, steaming bowls of tomato soup with basil. Just trust me on that.
