A friend shared this recipe with me it’s from the Maida Heatter’s Book of Great Desserts. It makes a nice Holiday or dinner party dessert

This recipe hails from Austria, the use of chocolate with whipping cream and cinnamon is typically Austrian. Even though there is no gelatine used, it firms up nicely and has a creamy, silky texture. 2 hours of cooling is included in the cooking time.
Traditional recipe from Bavaria, Germany and Salzburg, Austria region. From an old newspaper clipping in my grandmother’s recipe box.
This recipe was taught to me by my Bavarian Mutti. I have, since, tried to measure and journal how to make this wonderful stew. This stew is made with beef chuck, a combination of hot and mild paprika with a touch of caraway seeds. Served over spaetzle, buttered noodles or with tradition Semmel Knoedel (bread dumplings) this is a family favorite recipe. Please visit my blog for a tutorial on how to make this.
Looking for something with just a little more punch or “specialness”. Came across this, made it, & declared success! Note – I used pork loin, sliced 1/2 inch thick, & then pounded, as with any escalope.
