Cambodian Lemongrass Chicken Curry

A gentle curry with strong lemongrass flavor. Goes great over white or brown rice. Don’t be frightened off by the cook time, it mostly takes care of itself and needs little attention once you combine the ingredients. Got the recipe from Savory Spice Shop in Santa Rosa, CA

Noom Pachok

I got this recipe from a grandmother in Phnom Penh. It’s normally eaten for breakfast in Cambodia, but westerners would probably consider it lunch or dinner food. If you can’t find the powdered rice root, don’t worry, it’s not that importaint. For the toasted rice powder, toast the rice in a dry pan until brown and grind to a powder.

Paul’s Amazing Chicken

The other night, Paul, one of my sharemates made this delicious chicken dish. It was so tasty, and everyone loved it so much!!! Param n’ Kaval made Indian bread called Chapati, we had this with this chicken curry. I asked Paul how to make it n it seems so simple n’ easy!!! I want everyone to try this wonderful Indian dish!!!

Grilled Curry Chicken Skewers

Another recipe “stolen” from the Cambodian grandmother of a former student of mine. These are very similar to a dish served at a local Cambodian restaurant. At the restaurant you can also get it as an entree with rice. Prep time doesn’t include marinating.

Cornish Game Hens – Oriental/Curried

Cornish hens, like baby chickens are small enough to serve one per person. Serve with your favourite roasted veggies, or bok choy and Maple Squash. A delicious recipe developed and shared by “chatelaine” Magazine.
