An easy, tasty, creamy rice porridge made with honey, cinnamon and vanilla. A perfect chilly morning treat!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups medium-grain white rice
5 cups whole milk (divided)
3 cups water
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Boil rice and water in saucepan, turn heat to low, then cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until there is no more water.
  2. Stir in 1/3 of the milk to the rice, cover & cook for another 10 minutes, then follow with the rest of the milk.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients (honey, butter, sugar, vanilla, salt) and stir in.
  4. After turning off heat, portion out into serving bowls and top with cinnamon.
