A fun ‘glass’ cake made with jello, graham crackers and whipped cream. This is a signature family recipe, beloved by all family members.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package each of lime Jello mix
  • 1 package each of orange Jello mix
  • 1 package each of strawberry Jello mix
  • 1 packet of Knox gelatin
  • 1 pint of whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 30 graham crackers, crumbed
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare Jello
    For each package of Jello, dissolve in 1 1/2 cup of boiling water. Allow to jell hard.
  2. Prepare Knox gelatin
    Dissolve Knox gelatin packet in 1/4 cup boiling water and 1/4 cup cold water.
  3. Whip
    When Jello is ready, whip 1 pint of whipping cream and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.
  4. Mix in Knox gelatin.
  5. Cube
    Cube Jello into small pieces.
  6. Add to the whipped cream mixture.
  7. Make crust
    Crumb the graham crackers. Add 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup softened butter.
  8. Make a layer of the crumbs in the serving dish.
  9. Add a layer of the whipped cream mixture.
  10. Put a layer of crumb mixture on top.
  11. Set
    Chill for 24 hours.
