- 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter, unsalted, softened
- 1 cup of peanut butter, crunchy
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar, dark, packed
- 2 eggs, large
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups of flour, all purpose
- 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt, sea salt or kosher
- 2 cups of dark chocolate chips

PreheatPreheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease 2 square 9×9 baking pans or line with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and SugarsIn a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs, Vanilla and MilkBeat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and milk. Mix until well combined

Combine Dry IngredientsIn a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Wet and Dry MixturesGradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

Add Chocolate ChipsFold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

BakePour the batter evenly into two prepared square baking pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with a few moist crumbs.
