A burst of fresh flavors; a quick, elegant and healthy dish for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets of Salmon
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • lemon, juice and zest
  • 1 pinch of thyme
  • 1 pinch of rosemary
  • 1 pinch of parsley
  • lemon, slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Prepare the Herb Mixture
In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and dried parsley.
  3. Coat Salmon
Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil, then evenly coat them with the herb and lemon mixture. Allow the salmon to marinate for about 15-30 minutes.
  4. Sear the Salmon
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down, and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
  5. Flip and Cook
Carefully flip the salmon fillets using a spatula. Cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  6. Garnish and Serve
Garnish the seared salmon with lemon slices and fresh herbs, if desired.
