  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 rolled oats, old fashion
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup of nuts, chopped (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup of dried fruits
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter
  • 1/2 cup of pure maple syrup, or honey
  • 1/3 cup of brown sugar, (optional, for added sweetness if desired)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix
In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chopped nuts, and dried fruit. Mix well.
  3. Melt
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the maple syrup (or honey), brown sugar (if using), vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the mixture is well combined and the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour the melted butter mixture over the dry ingredients in the bowl. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  5. Shape
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Press it down firmly using the back of a spoon or your hands to create an even layer.
  6. Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Cool
Allow the bars to cool in the baking dish for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Slice and serve
Once cooled, cut into bars or squares using a sharp knife.
