Flank Steak with Rosemary & Honey

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons of honey
  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons of rosemary, chopped – or one tablespoon dry
  • 3/4 tablespoon of pepper, coarsely ground
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2.5 lb of beef, flank steak

Instructions

  1. Whisk
    Mix all ingredients except steak in a 13×9 baking dish.
  2. Add steak
    Add the steak and turn to coat.
  3. Refrigerate
    Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours, turning occasionally.
  4. Preheat
    Preheat broiler (or grill).
  5. Broil
    Remove meat from marinade; discard marinade. Place meat back in baking dish and broil until desired doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium rare.
  6. Serve
    Remove steak and allow to stand 10 minutes. Cut across the grain into thin strips. Serve with sauteed summer squash or garlicky greens.
