Rolls
- 3 cups of flour
- 6 teaspoons of baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 6 tablespoons of Crisco
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 egg(s)
- 6 tablespoons of butter
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of raisins
Topping
- 6 tablespoons of butter
- 6 tablespoons of brown sugar
Instructions
- Sift together dry ingredients.
- Cut in shortening and mix well using a fork.
- Beat eggs and add milk.
- Slowly mix in with dry ingredients until well combined to make a soft dough.
- Roll out about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Brush with softened butter.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins.
- Roll up like a jelly roll.
- Cut into 2 inch circles.
- Cream together butter and brown sugar.
- Spread mixture on bottom and sides of baking pan or skillet.
- Place pieces of dough in the pan with the cut edges up.
- Allow to stand for 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C)
- Bake for about 1 hour.
- Remove pan and turn upside down to cool.
