Carole’s Chocolate Crunchies

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup of softened butter
- 2 cups of chopped walnuts
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
- 1–2 teaspoons of mint extract
- 3 oz of unsweetened chocolate – melted
Instructions

Melt butter in a heavy skillet. Add walnuts, flour and brown sugar.

Blend and stir over heat until crumbs are toasted and golden brown. 5-7 minutes

Set aside and allow to cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients.

Add cooled crumb mixture and mix together well.

Pour into a greased 9×9 square pan.

Chill at least 2 hours and cut into squares.
