  • 2 lbs fresh green beans
  • 6 -8 medium size new potatoes
  • 8 slices bacon
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash beans thoroughly. Snap off ends and remove strings.

  2. Break into 2 inch pieces.

  3. Peel potatoes and cut in half.

  4. In a large pot fry bacon, just until it starts to brown.

  5. Add the beans and potatoes.

  6. Cover with water. Bring to a boil.

  7. Reduce heat and simmer on medium for about 1 hour.

  8. Salt and pepper to taste.

  9. ****I also threw some onions in the pot as well. The onions added a little more flavor.
