  • 3/4 cup Smart Balance butter spread
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (I like mini chips)
  • 1/4 cup cherry-flavored dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. In a medium bowl cream butter and sugars until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, and amaretto then cream again.

  3. In a separate bowl mix flours, salt, and baking soda. Add to wet mixture little by little.

  4. Fold in chocolate chips and craisins. (At this point I highly recommend chilling the dough! Trust me, it is the key to yummy choco chip cookies!).

  5. Drop by level tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets and bake 9 minutes or until golden brown.
