Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 18 saltine crackers, crushed fine
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine first 7 ingredients and 1/4 cup brown sugar in a medium bowl until just blended.

  3. Place mixture in lightly greased 11x7 baking dish. Shape into a 10x5 loaf.

  4. Bake for 1 hour.

  5. Remove from oven and drain.

  6. Stir together ketchup and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Pour over meatloaf.

  7. Bake 15 minutes more or until thermometer reads 160 degrees.

  8. Remove and let stand for 20 minutes before slicing.
