Ingredients

  • 1 9” pie crust
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c each sugar & corn syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 T melted butter
  • 1 1/2 chopped walnuts
  • Whipped cream for top

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 ˚F.

  2. Mix eggs, sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. With the mixer on low, add melted butter to mixture. Continue mixing until mixture is thick and creamy.

  3. Add walnuts to pie crust then add filling. Pour egg mixture into pie shell

  4. Carefully place pie on a baking sheet and then place in preheated oven. Bake the pie for about 15 minutes.

  5. Decrease oven temperature to 300°F and bake for 45 minutes. (After 30 minutes, cover edges with foil if they start to brown.)

  6. Let pie rest for around 15 minutes before slicing.
