Ingredients

  • 3 lbs potatoes
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or fresh garlic)
  • 1 teaspoon thyme or 1 teaspoon one sprig fresh thyme
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Grease 12 muffin molds with half of the butter.

  3. Peel and wash the potatoes. Cut them into very thin slices. It's best if you use a potato slicer.

  4. Grate the Parmesan cheese and add it to the potatoes.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, garlic and thyme. Add rest of the melted butter.

  6. Then mix everything together thoroughly.

  7. Stack the potato slices into the muffin molds on top of each other.

  8. Bake the potato stacks for about 50 minutes.

  9. Allow the stacks to cool for a few minutes and then gently remove them from the muffin pan with a knife.

  10. Sprinkle a little Parmesan on top and serve.
