What these technologies are and why we use them
Cookies, pixels, localStorage, sessionStorage and similar technologies can keep a requested action secure, remember an optional preference, or measure site use. Public recipes, ingredients and instructions remain available when optional technologies are rejected.
Necessary — Always Active
These technologies are required for security, account access, membership features, saving privacy choices and completing actions you request. They cannot be switched off through cookie settings.
Performance and Analytics — Optional
These technologies help us understand how visitors use the site and which recipes are useful. The current plugin has no Matomo, Google Analytics, GTM or Meta Pixel implementation; the recipe conversion bridge is inactive until analytics consent is supplied.
Preferences — Optional
These technologies remember optional choices such as whether a visitor has returned to a recipe. They are not required to read or cook a public recipe.
Marketing and Advertising — Optional
AdSense is an external advertising service used only on eligible public pages. Its provider-managed cookies and network behavior are not declared by this plugin, so exact names and durations require runtime verification after the certified CMP is configured.
Google advertising and Consent Mode
The plugin emits denied Consent Mode defaults before optional tags and injects AdSense only after marketing consent. The plugin does not select, certify or impersonate a CMP; the site administrator must configure and verify a Google-certified CMP with IAB TCF v2.3 before enabling applicable personalized advertising.
Matomo analytics
No Matomo tag or endpoint was found in the active plugin/source tree. If Matomo is added elsewhere, it must be registered as optional Performance and Analytics and must honor this consent boundary.
Embedded and third-party content
The source audit found Stripe’s hosted pricing-table script on the membership signup page and no active video, social, map, external-font, GTM, GA or Meta embed in the reviewed source. Stripe cookie names and durations are provider-managed and require runtime verification.

How to accept, reject, change or withdraw choices
Use the certified CMP’s Accept All, Reject Nonessential and Manage Choices controls. The permanent Cookie Settings link in the site footer reopens the CMP once it is configured. Closing a CMP message or continuing to browse is not treated as consent. Rejecting optional categories does not restrict public recipes or membership functionality.
If no certified CMP is configured, the Cookie Settings link returns to this explanation rather than pretending that a local banner is an approved CMP. Once a certified CMP is configured, the same link opens its documented preference controls.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Sell or Share
The runtime detects Global Privacy Control and records a first-party opt-out marker without storing identity information. It denies marketing consent and prevents AdSense injection. The site provides this link for applicable Do Not Sell or Share requests; the exact statutory classification of advertising and analytics flows should be confirmed by the site operator and counsel.
International transfers, retention and changes
External providers may process information outside the visitor’s country under their own terms. Site-created pending-action data lasts up to 24 hours, Concierge handoffs are short-lived as described in the source inventory, optional recipe history lasts up to 90 days and session storage lasts for the browser session. We will request renewed choices when the consent configuration, purposes or significant providers materially change.
