Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a 2 qt. saucepan over high heat.

  2. Saute' onion and green pepper until tender crisp.

  3. Add rice; cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

  4. Add water and chicken bouillon; bring to a boil.

  5. Stir once.

  6. Reduce heat to low.

  7. Stir once.

  8. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

  9. Don't look!

  10. Remove from heat and uncover.

  11. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

  12. Serve hot.
