- 1 1/2 lbs prawns, shell on, 16 to 20 count, wash, drain and pat dry
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes, dried
- 1/2 cup peanut oil
- 1 cup chili sauce, Heinz
- 3 stalks green onions, minced
Instructions
Lightly salt the dry prawns and set aside for 15 minutes before using.
Heat a wok over a high heat. Add the oil and when the oil is smoking add chili pod and ginger to season the oil. Remove the chili pod and ginger piece. Add shrimp and when it turns pink in color add in the sauce and bring to a boil. Pour into serving dishes and top with green onions. Serve warm or cold.
