Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 fresh loaf French bread, sliced
- 1/2 lb grounded beef
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 yellow onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350* F.
Spread a thin layer of hoisin sauce on top of each slice of bread, and place on a greased baking sheet.
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, eggs, and remaining ingredients together until well blended.
Spread the meat mixture on the prepared bread slices and bake for 20 minutes until meat reaches 160* F and is golden brown.
Serve hot.
