Large heavy skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 lemon, juice of
  • 1/4 heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then dust with flour.

  2. Heat the oil in a large heavy skillet. Add shrimp and cook over medium heat about 2 minutes per side.

  3. Remove shrimp from pan and drain the oil from pan.

  4. In the same skillet, warm the wine over low heat. Add shrimp and cook for 1 minute.

  5. Add butter, lemon juice, and heavy cream. Cook 1 or two minutes more.

  6. Sprinkle with parsley.
