Janosch is the famous author of the great stories about the little Tiger and the little bear. My mum send me shapes of my favorite childhood characters and this is the second of 2 recipes which came with them. You also find the other one on Zaar, it is Recipe #271114. Enjoy!

Equipment

Mixing bowl, plastic wrap, rolling pin, cookie cutters, baking sheet, double boiler

Ingredients

  • 100 g marzipan
  • 150 g flour
  • 75 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 100 g chocolate

Instructions

  1. Mix everything until soft and shiny.

  2. Put the dough between plastic foil and flaten out.

  3. Cut out shapes.

  4. Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes.

  5. Melt the chocolate on the stove over steaming water.

  6. Decorate the cookies with melted chocolate (this can be fussy but it is fun as well).
