Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons divided sunflower oil
  • 1 diced onion (medium)
  • 1/2 teaspoon mace (ground)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • Black pepper (ground)
  • Kosher salt
  • Cranberry sauce (side serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 400℉

  2. Heat oil in oven over medium heat

  3. Add onion and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, then add mace. Stir as it cooks for 1 minute. Turn off heat.

  4. Combine beef, onion mixture, cranberries, egg yolk, and spices, then make small balls (about 1 inch) and set aside.

  5. Coat 9x13 baking dish with oil and arrange meatballs, evenly spread. Bake until cooked through for approx. 20 minutes.
