Ingredients
- 6 cups of peach(es), fresh sliced or canned (drained if canned)
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon, juice
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of corn starch
- 1 sheet of biscuit dough, pre-made refrigerated (like crescent roll dough)
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, for dusting
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, for dusting
Instructions
Preheat Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Mix well until the peaches are coated, and then transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
Prepare dough Roll out the pre-made pie or biscuit dough and place it on top of the peach filling in the baking dish. You can arrange it in a rustic fashion, leaving gaps for the filling to peek through.
Mix In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon for dusting. Sprinkle this mixture over the dough.
Bake Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown, and the peach filling is bubbly.
Cool Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve Serve the peach cobbler warm, and you can enjoy it on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
