This classic recipe for honey drops makes a nougat candy using sugar, honey, egg white and almond extract.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract

Instructions

  1. Beat Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks start to form.

  2. Boil Gently boil the remaining ingredients until it will spin a hair. About 250-265℉(121-130℃)

  3. Combine Pour over the egg whites and beat until combined.

  4. Drop Drop by the spoon full onto parchment paper (lightly oil two spoons for the best result).
